Mavens Overview
Mandalay Bay Hotel actually consists of three separate hotels: The original Mandalay triple spoked tower; The Four Seasons hotel which is located on floors 35-39 of the original Mandalay Hotel; THEhotel is the newest tower, and the fanciest.
Even the standard rooms are large at Mandalay Bay, starting at 550 square feet. The rooms are well equipped with all the electronic toys you would expect: 42” High Definition Plasma TV, i-pod compatible alarm clock radio, desk area with wireless and hi-speed internet access.
The pillow-top beds are triple sheeted and garner rave reviews. Bathrooms are large and have a separate shower stall and bath tub, and even include and LCD Televison. The twin vanities with make-up mirror received notable internet buzz.
The only common negative buzz about the hotel, is poor sound insulation between rooms, and the location of the hotel at the extreme South end of the Strip.
Internet Buzz
The decor was lovely. We had a huge room with a lovely spacious bathroom...I really did enjoy our stay, although in the future i will be looking to stay more central on the Strip. It really was a mission to get anywhere as you are literally on the end of the strip
Noise is an issue. The thin walls allows you to hear your neighbors and anyone in the hall. Also you are able to hear outside noise as well.
Overall our room was nice. The bathroom had two sinks, a deep tub, separate shower, a separate area for the toilet, even a small tv!
We received upgrade to the Sky View suite. Absolutely beautiful! Separate elevator for these 3 floors only. Room was very spacious, spearate bedroom, loverly shower/bathroom/jacuzzi and very tastefully decorated.
The rooms were very spacious, with a huge bathroom (love the his/her sinks, soak-in tub, and separate toilet), the beds were comfy, and service was top-notch.
Service is above and beyond anything I've experienced.
I love this hotel...The bathrooms are huge and well appointed...The people at Mandalay Bay couldn't have been nicer.
The walls are paper thin. I can hear every single footstep down the hall. I can hear the neighbors conversations. I can hear their hair dryer. I can pretty much hear it all.
I've stayed in 2 others vegas hotels (Rio, NY/NY) and Manadaly Bay slays them both. It is huge with plenty of restaurants, bars, great casino floor, sports book (best in vegas) and pool (another best in vegas). The staff was great, the bags were at our room in minutes.
This hotel was fabulous. The room was great, we stayed on the 27th floor with a view of the strip. The room was a nice size the bathroom was large. The toilet was behind a seperate door from the shower, tub and sink. The only problem there was no ventilation in the bathroom. Nice size flat screen on the wall, Ipod alarm clock hook-up and very comfortable bed.
THE Hotel, The suites are very modern and comfortable. With a small living room, powder bath, and large master bedroom and bathroom...Flat screen televisions and all of the amenities you would expect are included. The room service was delivered quickly and was good.
The room was great, and very spacious. Enough bathrooms and mirror space to please four hairdressers(and trust me, this is an accomplishment). The beds were really comfortable and we had ample closet space.
A quibble is that the super-fancy bathrooms take up a lot of the room, so the actual bedroom area is average in size.
Great mattress on the bed and comfortable linens.
The bed was beyond comfortable with down pillows and fluffy sheets.
We stayed at the four seasons in vegas for the fourth time. We love the hotel. The staff is awesome and the rooms are great. But the best part is that they take small dogs so we can take our best friend with us.
